At GSN, it is our vision to operate a factory that provides all employees with equal opportunities, show the maximum respect to their human dignity and transform monetary profit into social benefits to the maximum reasonable extent.

As our smallest manufacturing facility, GSN Shenzhen was designated from its start-up to serve as a pilot center for social innovation. This means that we are constantly reflecting on our ethical approach and realigning our code of conduct with regard to pro-actively protecting human rights.

Apart from full social compliance we aspire to create social innovation by going beyond local legal requirements. Thus, we keep reviewing our management practices to better take the social needs of our employees into account. Our main dedication is to improve the quality of life of the underpriviledged migrant workers and their families.
Every revised practice or new social activity is tested first to evaluate the effects on the work performance of the employees as much as on their social well-being. If the anticipated value added does not prove to be sustainable or beneficial on the long-term, the practice or social activity is either reassessed or discontinued. After successfully bridging the gap between German and Chinese culture and management practice, the pilot center has finally evolved into a Corporate Responsibility (CR) Role Model Factory.
